Work Schedule: Hybrid (On-site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote: Wednesday, Friday)

Position Summary

CMS Energy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant II to provide high-level administrative and operational support. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of complex clerical and administrative tasks, while being trained on higher-level support functions. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of administrative duties including typing, filing, data entry, dictation, and document preparation.
  • Verify accuracy and quality of work; prepare forms, reports, sketches, and diagrams.
  • Operate office equipment and utilize computer software to compile reports and manage data.
  • Maintain daily production reports and assist with tracking and reporting on various inventories.
  • Greet and assist visitors; coordinate office space, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Support presentation development using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Manage complex scheduling and integration of multiple, often conflicting, calendar priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support to team members and management as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialized or functional area/discipline.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint required).
  • Experience with Visio and OneNote is a plus.
  • Experience using electronic calendaring tools to schedule meetings for multiple attendees.
