Senior Project Manager

Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager will oversee complex, enterprise-level projects that may require coordination across multiple facilities and departments. This role supports research and development initiatives for consumable products across multiple business areas. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, R&D, Medical, and Supply Chain. The position also requires regular interaction with senior leadership, including Directors, VPs, and Executives, to provide project updates and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope in collaboration with management and technical leads.
- Develop detailed work plans identifying and sequencing activities for successful completion.
- Determine required resources such as time, budget, and equipment.
- Create and maintain a project schedule, adjusting as necessary with stakeholder input.
- Establish measurable objectives and evaluation criteria for project success.
Staffing & Implementation
- Partner with managers to recruit and assign staff with appropriate skills.
- Execute the project according to the approved plan.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation and records of all project activities.
- Monitor project progress, making necessary adjustments to stay on schedule and within scope.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and provide progress updates.
- Review quality of completed work to ensure compliance with project standards.
Control & Reporting
- Prepare progress reports for management and stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure expenditures remain within approved limits.
- Verify that all financial records are accurate and compliant.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Evaluate project outcomes and document lessons learned.
- Participate in special assignments as needed.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and large volumes of data.
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies and their application.
- Familiarity with design control concepts, manufacturing processes, and equipment.
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., FDA-regulated industries).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams, set goals, resolve issues, and influence outcomes.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, including assessing urgency, risk, and impact.
- Effective at setting priorities, creating schedules, monitoring progress, and achieving goals.
- Capable of developing strategic plans, evaluating results, and implementing improvements.
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Minimum of 4 years of project management experience.
