About The Role The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role within gategroup’s HR team, supporting the organization’s talent management and employee engagement initiatives. This position involves delivering comprehensive new hire orientation, assisting with the development and implementation of HR programs, and maintaining accurate employee records. The HR Coordinator acts as a key point of contact for employees at all levels, providing guidance on company policies, benefits, and employment laws. The role requires a proactive, organized individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and supporting gategroup’s mission to deliver operational excellence through its people.

Qualifications Education:

  • Two years of college education or equivalent preferred.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a human resources-related role.
  • Experience in airline, transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, or food service environments is highly desirable.

Technical Skills: (Certifications, Licenses, and Registration)

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Proficiency in relationship building, business partnering, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with talent acquisition, data analysis, and project management.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Expertise in EEO/Title VII compliance, including investigation and response to charges.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.

Language / Communication Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver new hire orientation sessions and other training programs as needed to ensure new employees are well-informed and integrated into the company culture.
  • Explain and clarify company policies, benefits, programs, and related information to employees and management.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and implementing unit-specific HR programs, as well as enterprise-wide initiatives to support organizational goals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files, bulletin boards, recruiting trackers, exit interview logs, and attendance records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc HR reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Support the HR team in achieving departmental and organizational objectives through effective results management.
  • Participate in employee engagement activities and promote a positive workplace environment.
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, including EEO and Title VII.
  • Handle employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support performance management initiatives and assist in employee development programs.
