Social Media Manager
Our well-known pharmaceutical client is seeking a Social Media Manager for a one-year assignment. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite per week (can work from home remaining 2 days, 40 hrs/week total).
To Be Considered, Candidates Must Have
- Strong written and visual content creation skills (copywriting, graphics, video)
- Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Experience using workflow and review tools
- Background in a regulated industry (pharmaceuticals, healthcare, etc.) with strong attention to detail and compliance
Responsibilities
- Manage social media accounts, create and distribute content, analyze website analytics, and assist with email campaigns and other online marketing efforts
- Daily review of the social media content calendar and copy development for all owned-and-operated channels
- Assist in the development and execution of social media content capture; attend events as needed
- Prepare and submit materials for medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance reviews; annotate documents and create anchor text for references
- Attend weekly steering committee meetings with key stakeholders; communicate frequently with reviewers to ensure deadlines are met
- Own the process from start to finish for partners on the marketing team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, PR, digital, brand marketing) to ensure consistency and alignment of messaging
- Participate in regular meetings to update on campaign progress, share insights, and coordinate deliverables
- Share content calendars and draft posts with brand marketing for feedback and alignment prior to publishing
- Ensure all content meets brand guidelines and compliance standards through appropriate approval processes
Potential KPIs
- Content Accuracy & Compliance Rate – % of posts approved without rework (target: 98% first-pass approval)
- Content Production Timeliness – % of posts delivered on or ahead of content calendar deadlines
- Cross-Team Collaboration Score – Feedback from agency/brand teams on communication and collaboration
- Engagement Metrics – Growth in audience engagement (likes, shares, comments)
- Brand Consistency Index – % of content adhering to brand guidelines without correction
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years of marketing experience with increasing responsibility
- Experience with social media is required
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or beauty is a plus
- Knowledge of basic marketing strategies
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
