About the Role
A high-growth financial advisory startup backed by a private equity firm is building a world-class sales organization in Philadelphia. The firm helps financial advisors optimize client outcomes through structured notes and derivatives expertise. As they scale, they are seeking a true coach to lead and develop their on-site sales team.
The Role
This is a Sales Manager position focused entirely on coaching, process, and team development. It is not an individual contributor or player-coach role. You will manage a team of 5 salespeople and dialers, build structure, and create a high-performing, accountable culture.
What You’ll Do

Lead, coach, and develop a growing 5 person sales team

Run daily standups, coaching sessions, and performance reviews

Implement scalable processes, KPIs, SOPs, and accountability systems

Ensure activity levels are met (calls, meetings, follow-ups, pipeline hygiene)

Train dialers to become consistent appointment-setters

Improve forecasting accuracy, follow-up consistency, and workflow efficiency

Partner with leadership to build the sales playbook as the team scales from 5 to 50

You’re a Fit If You Have

2–3 years of experience managing a 5 person sales team

Background in financial services (specific product experience not required; full training provided)

A coaching-first leadership style—focused on development, not ego

Strong process orientation and experience building KPIs/structure

Ability to motivate, develop, and hold teams accountable

MAP (Management Action Programs) training or certification — huge plus
