Construction Cost Estimator

Indianapolis/Lebanon, IN Full-Time / Contract (12+ months) About the Project: Join a high-impact, large-scale pharmaceutical construction project in Lebanon, IN. This is a long-term opportunity to work with a top-tier construction and engineering team delivering critical infrastructure for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for all phases of the project (conceptual to final).
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and engineering teams to track budgets, forecast costs, and manage change orders.
• Analyze vendor/subcontractor proposals and integrate into total project cost models.
• Support cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in cost data, while maintaining cost databases and historical benchmarks.
• Provide support during procurement and bid evaluation phases.
• Monitor project progress and advise on financial risks or deviations from budget.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of cost engineering or estimating experience in industrial or pharmaceutical construction.
• Proficient in cost management tools such as EcoSys, Sage, RSMeans, or Excel-based models.
• Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, procurement, and scheduling integration.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale, capital-intensive construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience on FDA-regulated or GMP-compliant projects.
• Familiarity with EPC/EPCM project structures.
• Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences facility construction.
• Experience with industrial piping/take-offs
