Chief of Staff, Marketing
About the Opportunity:
The organization is a safety technology platform connecting cities, law enforcement, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods through a nationwide public-private safety network. The Chief of Staff (Marketing) will serve as the operational and strategic leader for the marketing organization, overseeing strategy cadence, operating rhythms, analytics, and the marketing tech stack. The role reports to the CMO and is responsible for integrating functions across Brand and Creative, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Lifecycle, Social, and Paid channels to drive planning, execution, measurement, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Own the marketing operating system including annual and quarterly planning, OKRs, scorecards, and weekly business reviews; ensure alignment with Sales, Product, Finance, and Revenue Operations.
• Lead strategy and operations for the full marketing portfolio, driving prioritization, resourcing, and execution against organizational goals.
• Build and manage the marketing analytics function, including pipeline modeling, mix modeling, multi-touch and last-touch attribution, forecasting, incrementality testing, and executive dashboards.
• Architect and deliver a best-in-class marketing tech stack in collaboration with channel owners, Engineering, and Product teams.
• Support the CMO with budget planning, vendor management, SOWs/MSAs, capacity modeling, and quarterly reallocation to highest-ROI initiatives.
• Create and implement experimentation frameworks (A/B and multivariate testing) across web, paid ads, lifecycle, and creative; translate learnings into playbooks.
• Drive executive communications through monthly business reviews and performance narratives linking spend to revenue outcomes.
• Lead culture initiatives within Marketing: design team rituals, offsites, standups, retros, and learning forums; champion process improvements.
• Act as chief integrator for cross-functional initiatives to ensure timely, on-budget, and on-message delivery.
Requirements:
• 10+ years in Marketing Operations, Analytics, or Strategy roles at high-growth tech or platform companies.
• Deep expertise in attribution (MMM, MTA preferred), lifecycle automation, and data infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling a modern marketing stack and reporting layer end-to-end.
• Strong program management skills; ability to orchestrate complex, multi-team programs with clear milestones, owners, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Financial acumen in budget planning, forecasting, vendor negotiations, and ROI modeling.
• Excellent communication and culture-building skills; proven trusted partner to executives.
Compensation:
• The salary range for this role is $180,000 – $250,000, as well as stock options.
