This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Some things you will do as a Maintenance Tech at Golden Peanut:
- Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record.
- Knowledge of drives, motors, sheaves and general mechanical operations
- Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery
- Maintains a good attendance record
- Work shifts as required for the role. Typically Monday- Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm and 1-2 Saturdays a month. On call rotation includes evenings and nights.
- Work on call schedule (The plant currently operates 5 days a week 24 hours a day)
- Maintains good communication with all plant personnel. (Other shifts, departments and managers)
- Ability to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while flexible enough to work in team settings.
- Maintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required.
- Conducts daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual inspections, reporting any problems noted.
- Willing to be trained to work various jobs within the facility
- Maintain documentation required to perform job duties
- May perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally move objects that weigh up to 55 LBS
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolong periods of time
- Move from area to area
- Transport Material
- Position self to conduct work at various heights
- Rotate body
- Crouch, squat and bend
- Ascend / descend from various levels (climb ladders and stairs)
- Repetitive use of hands
- Use broom, shovel and others tools to complete assignments
What we are looking for from you:
- 2+ years of Mechanical experience preferably in an industrial setting
- 1+ year of experience welding or with fabrication
- A positive attitude and team mindset
- Excellent organization and documentation
- A desire to learn various operations and grow with the company
- Focus on Safety- Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero-injury culture: to understand and follow all company safety procedure and use of PPE
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written)
- A high school diploma or GED
- That you are at least 18 years of age or older
- The ability to work overtime and be on call as needed including weekends
- That you maintain excellent attendance (being on time, working when scheduled, staying until your shift ends)
- Demonstrates the ability to be observant and to address concerns that may arise
- Previous experience in a factory setting is preferred
- Mechanical Aptitude is a must. Be able to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience highly desired
- The ability to work above ground level on grated flooring and climb stairs/ladders
