Transport Engineer
Location: Richardson, TX
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Transport Engineer in Richardson, TX.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Perform detailed equipment engineering for network augments.
- Develop specifications for install, turn-up, inventory, and configuration of the equipment,
- Obtaining appropriate management approvals, issuing purchase orders,
- Creating applicable diagrams/ drawings, and ensuring
- vendor delivery.
- Develop Bill of Material and place orders for network equipment, rack, and hardware requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in Transport Engineering
- Technology experience (1 or more): Ciena, Nortel, Fujitsu, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent SONET and DWDM
- Experience in PON, NGPON2, FiOS and FTTP is a plus
- MS Office and CAD
