Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.The Work
This position provides hands-on experience supporting the information technology team providing critical maintenance for the software development and ancillary laboratory environments supporting the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. C2BMC is the integrating element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The position includes the following responsibilities:
- Support the IT team in the maintenance of hardware, software and other IT resources
- Assist with IT troubleshooting issues and provide technical support as needed
- Assist with IT resource, cybersecurity, and data management activitiesPlease Note:

This requires US Citizenship.
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux and/or Unix
- Experience with hardware and software systems, software development, application development, data management, cybersecurity and network administration
- Completion of 8570 IAT II certification (Security+)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsDesired skills – Have taken Information Technology courses, and/or formal education/certification courses within the Information Technology disciplines.
- Experience with Java, R, MatLab, HTML, C++ software development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Strong ability to work efficiently within a team environment
