English Language Position Description for the Language and Cultural Center The English Language Instructor within the University’s Continuing Education department is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, student-centered online English instruction for international students and adult learners. The instructor
fosters the development of learners’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while promoting intercultural awareness, academic confidence, and effective communication for success in academic, professional, and personal settings. Through engaging,
technology-enhanced teaching methods and continuous assessment, the instructor ensures accessibility, responsiveness, and meaningful learning outcomes in an online environment. This role also supports learners in transitioning into academic college
credit pathways by aligning English language instruction with university-level standards and preparing students for success in credit-bearing degree programs. The position advances the mission of Continuing Education by promoting global engagement,
lifelong learning, and workforce and academic readiness through innovative, inclusive, and flexible educational opportunities.
Salary: $800 per credit hour
