Full-Time Conversion Target: $100K AnnuallyPosition Summary Stratosphere Quality is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Quality Manager to lead quality operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position begins as a contract role with a strong pathway to permanent hire based on performance. The right candidate thrives on the production floor, supporting operators, driving quality systems, and leading continuous improvement.This role is ideal for someone who excels in metals-based manufacturing environments. Essential Job Function:Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day quality operations and team guidanceMaintain and enhance ISO-based quality systems and documentationConduct and lead root-cause investigations and corrective action plansMonitor product and process quality using SPC and other quality toolsCollaborate with production and engineering teams to improve process capabilitySupport customer and supplier quality interactions, audits, and reportingCoach and mentor quality staff to build a strong quality culture Qualifications:Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or equivalent experienceMinimum 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturingStrong working knowledge of ISO quality systemsProven success leading floor-level quality initiatives and problem-solving effortsExperience with CAPA, 8D, RCA, control plans, and SPCPreferred Metals processing/manufacturing backgroundPlating/coating exposure (bonus, not required)Six Sigma or continuous improvement training/certificationWork Environment On-site position in Indianapolis, INRegular active presence on the production floor
