Overview Director- Operational Insights

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
  • Location: Downers Grove, IL – Onsite.

The Director, Operational Insights plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and data-informed decision-making across Duly’s Fee-for-Service (FFS) operations.

Reporting to the President, this leader will oversee the design, execution, and measurement of strategic operational initiatives that enhance efficiency, improve financial and clinical performance, and support Duly’s mission to deliver better care at scale.

The Director will collaborate across diverse operational, clinical, finance and analytical teams—translating data into actionable insights that optimize patient access, resource utilization, and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities Operational Strategy & Execution (35%)

  • Lead the execution of operational initiatives that improve performance and drive efficiency within FFS operations
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable operational plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Partner with leaders across Operations, Finance, and Clinical departments to identify improvement opportunities and implement data-driven solutions
  • Achieve operational and financial targets related to patient throughput, cost management, and service delivery

Data-Driven Decision Making (25%)

  • Oversee the development and use of operational dashboards and analytics to evaluate performance trends
  • Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure efficiency, productivity, and service quality
  • Guide interpretation of data and communicate findings to senior leadership through clear, actionable insights
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity to support reliable decision-making

Change Leadership & Continuous Improvement (20%)

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, using structured problem-solving and Lean methodologies
  • Drive adoption of process enhancements that reduce variability and improve standardization across sites
  • Support operational leaders through change management strategies and stakeholder engagement
  • Promote collaboration and accountability across departments

Project and Program Oversight (15%)

  • Manage a portfolio of operational improvement projects from design to execution and measurement
  • Ensure initiatives adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Apply project management best practices to maximize efficiency, mitigate risks, and sustain long-term outcomes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to monitor progress and report on key milestones

Team Development and Collaboration (5%)

  • Mentor and guide associates and analysts supporting operational insights and transformation efforts
  • Build strong partnerships across business units to ensure alignment and consistent communication
  • Contribute to training and development efforts that enhance organizational analytical capabilities

SUPERVISORY / MANAGEMENT SCOPE

  • May supervise a team of analysts or associates supporting operational insights initiatives
  • Responsible for managing project budgets and ensuring efficient resource utilization

Qualifications Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred

Field of Study:

  • Business, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare operations, consulting, performance improvement, or analytics
  • Experience leading operational transformation, consulting, or process optimization in a healthcare setting

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $125,000-188,000, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
