After-school Program Gate Attendant-Part-Time – Buena Park, CAThe Gate Attendant is the first person that people see when they come to our program, and as such, they should have a professional, positive and friendly outlook as they help on the front line in this program support role. - Greet parents and guardians as they arrive.
- Verify the parent/guardian’s ID before releasing any student.
- Ensure all students are properly signed out.
- Radio the SOARS programs (AB & Titans) to communicate which students are being picked up.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in all sign-out procedures.
Vigilance & Awareness
- Gate attendants must remain alert and attentive at all times, including:
- Monitoring for any unusual or suspicious behavior.
- Taking note of law enforcement or emergency vehicles near the campus.
- Reporting any concerns immediately to School Administration (APS) and the Site Lead.
Consistent Outdoor Presence
- Stay stationed outside and visible throughout after-school program hours.
- Be available for parents who may arrive at any time to pick up their students.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED,
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
- Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations
