Job Description: Overview Join a Magnet®-recognized Nursing team at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip as we expand into a new era of patient care with the upcoming opening of our state-of-the-art Patient Care Pavilion—a 300,000 sq. ft. facility featuring private rooms, advanced surgical suites, and a transformative Emergency Department.We are actively hiring Nursing Assistants to support our Emergency and Med-Surg units who are ready to grow with us—and be part of something big.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Nursing Assistant program, BOCES or Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent with current New York State CNA certification or completion of a Nursing fundamentals course or equivalent within a RN program or a minimum of 1 year experience working as a Nursing Assistant.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience required.
  • BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association. No online programs from any organization will be accepted.

Salary Range USD $25.62 – USD $32.32 /Hr.This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
