Job Description: Mars Wrigley in Elizabethtown, PA is looking for a Production Assistant!Pay: Based off experience starting at $19.92/hr +Additional compensation and total rewards belowRequired Shift:Day Shift: Monday- Friday 6am- 2:30pmWhat do we manufacture?Dove Chocolate!Job Purpose: The Production Assistant is responsible for running successfully and safely a set of machines, equipment and/or processes within their working area in the manufacturing plant.What are we looking for? Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or above
  • 1+ years experience working with manufacturing equipment and machinery

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-55 lbs) & pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs).
  • Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.
  • Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
  • Ability to work in varies manufacturing environments and non-temperature-controlled rooms.
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hand on experience working in the manufacturing industry
  • Mechanical or technical training
  • Fork Lift driving experience

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

  • Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
  • Carry out routine operational tasks including starting-up, shutting-down, monitoring, cleaning, and carrying out basic changeovers, minor repairs, routine checks and inspections, and the use of basic ancillary equipment and computer programs.
  • Escalate issues as appropriate, give full and accurate verbal and written handover
  • Repair mechanical breakdowns using trained knowledge and experience.
