With a team of world-renowned pediatric experts and kid-friendly care, there’s a reason we’re ranked the #1 children’s hospital in Illinois.Nurse Assistants:Help to warmly welcome families to the ambulatory clinic area.Assist with taking and documenting vital signs, documentation of medical information, point of care testing, medical procedures, and intra hospital transport. All while ensuring that patients and their families are safe and comfortable.NA also help nursing staff ensure that all medical equipment is stocked and in clean, working condition. That Medical waste is disposed of properly, rooms are neat and tidy and that patient rounds are made in a timely manner.Emergency Department Unit Information:45 bed Emergency Department with mixed acuity; includes 4 pods of 10 beds each, 5 resuscitation beds.Level 1 Trauma CenterPatient population is all age groups, generally 0 days — 21 years.Staffing mix includes nurses, paramedics, nursing assistants, medical assistants, service representatives, pediatric emergency medicine physicians, pediatricians, and nurse practitioners.Ancillary Support Staff include Social Work, Child Life, and Interpreting ServicesWe value teamwork, a culture of real-time feedback, diversity and inclusion, and freedom to ask questions.Orientation:Dependent on candidate experience level; first week is hospital orientation.Orientation will be on all shifts, beginning on day shifts.Consistency is attempted with preceptors although not guaranteed.Hands-on experiences/trauma simulations within orientation hoursPosition we are hiring for:Nightshift (3p-3a and 7p-7a shifts) and every third weekendStaff must remain in current position for at least six months before qualifying for position changes.Position openings for different start times will be released by the Scheduling Committee based off of unit needs; positions are filled by seniority.Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.Successful completion of an accredited CNA Program.Current certification as a CNA in the State of Illinois, active/good standing.
