Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 hours, which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience.Job Specification The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found .Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the LDH Secretary and executive staff, including the Chief of Staff, Confidential Assistant, Deputy Secretary, and Undersecretary.Manage daily office operations such as maintaining files and databases, handling correspondence and mail, coordinating travel, scheduling meetings and conferences, and managing the department’s multi-line telephone system.Oversee payroll processing for the Office of the Secretary and act as procurement coordinator by creating purchase orders, monitoring vendor payments, reconciling reports, and managing purchase and travel card accounts.Serve as the property and supply coordinator by managing inventory and property records, ordering office supplies, and maintaining central office equipment like copy, scan, and fax machines.Act as the primary liaison by responding to inquiries from the Governor’s Office, legislators, public officials, special interest groups, and LDH staff; track and manage incoming correspondence and perform necessary research to provide accurate responses.
