Part Time Physician, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Eagle Health Analytics is seeking a part-time Physician, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for on-site services at the Oconaluftee Job Corps Center, Cherokee, NC. Position starts December 1st. These are contract positions for one year, with additional option year extension opportunities thereafter.Clinical Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted license to practice in North Carolina (NP, PA or Physician)

• BLS/CPR Certified

• Experience treating young adults and adolescents (1 year minimum)

• Professional Liability Insurance

Responsibilities: Provide quality medical services to the Job Corps Center trainees on-site on designated weekdays (federal holidays excluded), with possible on-call telephone response during evenings/weekends.Provide direct medical services to students, including:

• Cursory medical inspections of students as well as definitive medical examination and health histories.

• Diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury.

• Arrangements for preventive immunizations and detection and control of communicable diseases.

• Medication oversite and provision for students as necessary to gain/maintain optimal health.

• Develop and supervise ongoing education for health services personnel, and personally rendering direct patient counseling to the students.

• On center management of uncomplicated chronic diseases with consultation of off-center specialist as needed.

• Daily walk-in clinic and appointment system for episodic illness or injury assessment by center physician and/or nurse.

• Provision of all necessary referrals for specialist and institutional care.

• Providing a system of 24-hour emergency back-up coverage/referral.

• Treatment of illness or injury, to include primary emergency care for illness and injury, including first aid and CPR, and secondary care within capabilities, e.g., injection of epinephrine, and immediate transfer to hospital emergency room for specialized diagnosis and treatment, if needed.

• Adhere to the policies, procedures, and guidelines established by Job Corps, the Center Health & Wellness Director and Center Director.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1-4 hours per week depending on the needs of center (2 positions available).Pay Ranges: $60 per hour, depending upon NP/PA/Phys qualifications/experience
