Medical Assistant
Medical Assistant PediatricsHealthCare Support is actively seeking a Medical Assistant to fill an opening in New York, NY 10016 with our prestigious healthcare client.Daily Responsibilities for Certified Medical Assistant:
- Performs authorized procedures competently (i.e. vital signs, vision screening, selected laboratory tests) as directed by physician or nurse in clinical practice area
- Demonstrates clinical competence in the direct care of patients in established area(s) of practice, and assisting MDs with procedures
- Performs clinical duties within scope of practice complying with the accepted CareMount Medical and/or individual department standards, policies, and protocols
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to patient care, focusing on addressing each patients individual and family needs at the time of service; communicates identified needs in a timely manner
- M – Thurs: 7:45am – 4:30pm Friday: 7:45am – 4:00pm
Required Qualifications for Certified Medical Assistant:
- 2 years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic or hospital setting
- 2 years phlebotomy experience
- BLS Certification Required
- High school diploma/ GED
Preferred Qualifications for Certified Medical Assistant:
- Previous Certified Medical Assistant experience
