DPP is seeking an Accounting Professional for an opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Work arrangement:

  • Hybrid: Onsite Thursday and Friday; remote Monday – Wednesday. Hours: 8 am – 5 pm 5 days/week.
  • W2 position; 12 months

Position description:

  • The NAFSC Accounting Professional position will involve interaction with various Account and Business departments and will include providing any business-related accounting items to various teams.
  • There will be certain activities required to be completed by GBS on behalf of Defense due to the sale of a portion of the marine business to an external buyer.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete tasks to provide accounting detailsdocuments for AP, AR, GL or cash items to the Defense finance teams/buyer as requested.
  • Complete coordination efforts on data required by M&A group.
  • Complete other ad hoc requirements such as completing reconciliations, reviewing journal entries etc. as laid out by management.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 2 years of experience in accounting or a Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 2 years of experience in accounting
  • Knowledge of general accounting such as accounting entries, reconciliations and analysis.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency

Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Demonstration of effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions, high volume of activities and multiple demands and deadlines.
  • SAP experience is preferred
