The role offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will leverage your expertise in a diverse IT landscape to ensure seamless operation for the cruise line fleet. This position will be a contract and onsite in Miramar, FL.Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, this role will be direct employment with CAI. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.What You’ll DoAnalyze existing systems, technical documents, and procedures for deployment of applicationsPlan and execute application deployment projects, ensuring successful roll-out across the cruise line fleetProvide remote technical support to crew members for application-related issuesDesign, plan, and implement application deploymentsCreate technical design specifications as needed for deploymentsWork in a lab environment to test new concepts, certify new software applications and hardware, and perform firmware testingDeploy and manage a mix of Windows and Linux virtual machine servers for application deliveryCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Network, Security) to ensure proper configuration of DHCP scopes, firewalls, NATs, and DNS for application successCommunicate effectively with IT Project Managers regarding project requirements, status updates, changes, blockers, and any factors impacting the deployment planDevelop and maintain well-documented, automated, and reliable systems to ensure efficient operationsTrain others on system operations to ensure knowledge transfer and continuityWhat You’ll Need Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Systems Engineer roleStrong understanding of system administration principles and best practicesExperience working in a diverse IT environment with various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and applicationsProven ability to lead and manage technical projects from planning to deploymentExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and collaboration skills across all levels (technical and non-technical audiences)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred: Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, etc.)Experience with network configuration (DHCP, firewalls, NATs, DNS)Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorReasonable accommodation statementIf you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 — 8111.$40.00-$45.00 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above.
