Jacobs’ Energy and Power Solutions team is searching for a driven Construction Management Intern to join our Energy & Power Team.

The energy industry is undergoing rapid and dramatic changes, transforming the utility landscape to enhance reliability and sustainability. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide. Under the guidance of Professional Engineers, Project Managers and other senior technical staff you will provide solutions to some of our clients’ most pressing challenges.

In this position you will help your team achieve our client’s objectives by supporting the development of detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, contracts, schedules, and resource allocation. You will assist with preparing and managing project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and timely completion of project schedules, compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements, and maintain detailed records, reports and documentation.

Your keen ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and tackle project challenges will allow you to thrive in our fast-paced environment. You’ll receive the opportunity to be mentored by professionals across specialties while you engage with our clients, evaluate their needs, develop concept-level plans and solutions, and take these through to provide full execution of the solution.

  • Currently seeking a Bachelor of Engineering or Construction Management

  • Previous relevant internship experience, preferably with an engineering, construction or consulting firm

  • Attendance at the SHPE National Convention in Philadelphia, PA 2025

Ideally, you will also have

  • Familiarity with gas piping systems, P&IDs, PFDs, site layout and material take-offs

  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
