Description: Our client is currently seeking a C2H-Desktop/Tech Support: III (Senior)
Desktop/tech Support – Oak Lawn, IL
Key cities: Hinsdale, Chicago, La Grange, Oak Lawn, Oak Park, Orland Park, Bradley, Schererville IN, New Buffalo MI
This position focuses on Desktop/Tech Support engineer within a local network environment, primarily assisting staff and sales associates. It involves cross-functional collaboration across ITIL teams to resolve issues and deliver projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues (desktops, laptops, mobile devices)
- Configure and upgrade workstations
- Maintain network and telecom systems
- Resolve LAN, server, and connectivity problems
- Use ticketing and asset management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Ivanti)
- Re-image computers, migrate/restore data, and solve problems remotely
- Collaborate on local and national Agile projects
Required Skills and Experience
Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 3 years of experience, preferred 5 years
Exemplary customer service skills (verbal and written)
Proficient Windows and Mac troubleshooting and support
Mobile device computing skills
Basic network troubleshooting and support
Microsoft 365 knowledge
ServiceNow and Ivanti experience a plus
Basic hardware troubleshooting
Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis
High level of emotional intelligence
Professional presence – while remaining personable
Experience working with processes and procedures in a large organization preferable
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and prioritize effectively
Good time and task management skills
Flexible and organized
Growth mindset
Able to lift 50 lbs. unaided
Reliable car
