Job Description Summary

The Release Manager will oversee and coordinate release efforts for the MA21 legacy system, supporting its transition to a modern infrastructure under the One Health initiative. This role involves managing development cycles, testing phases, and production deployments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals for Medicaid eligibility system modernisation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate monthly release cycles, expedited resolutions, and emergency fixes.
  • Scope releases and prioritise changes.
  • Identify and manage cross-system dependencies.
  • Ensure environment and functional readiness for testing.
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with technical and QA teams for production deployment.
  • Track progress against timelines and adjust proactively.
  • Communicate risks and updates to leadership.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly executive release reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare eligibility systems.
  • Familiarity with MA HIX or other state health exchanges.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management as a release manager for large-scale applications.
