Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications on IBM Mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS, along with a solid understanding of mainframe batch and online processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Develop and optimize batch jobs and CICS transactions.

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing , and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of business changes.

  • Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for all developed applications.

  • Ensure data integrity and system reliability through strong database and job control practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 9years of experience as a Mainframe Developer.

  • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM , and TSO/ISPF.

  • Experience with FileAid, XPEDITER, Endevor, and other mainframe utilities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
