Must have:

I am looking for candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or a related technical field. You should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in transport networking or related areas. Familiarity with Ciena Carrier Ethernet/DWDM, Nokia SAR Carrier Ethernet, SEL ICON, Nortel, and Ciena Legacy SONET equipment is preferred. A strong understanding of transport networking and support at an enterprise level is essential. Additionally, excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

In your role as an Infrastructure Engineer (Fiber), you will support Fiber Optic, Microwave, and P.25 800Mhz radio systems, commonly referred to as Transport Systems. You will participate in a shared 24x7x365 on-call rotation with fellow engineers. Your duties will include performing break/fix support of transport network systems to guarantee continuous operation. You will provide remote support for the change control processes associated with deploying fiber optic, microwave, and radio systems, ensuring adherence to change management protocols and organizational standards for network configuration changes.
