Job Title: QA Lead (W2)

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contract (W2)

Duration: 12 Months with possible extension

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis (No C2C)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Lead to oversee the quality assurance processes for software development and deployment. The QA Lead will manage a team of testers, design and execute test strategies, ensure software meets high standards, and work closely with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the QA team in planning, prioritizing, and executing test strategies for web, mobile, and/or enterprise software applications.

  • Define test plans, test cases, and QA processes aligned with product and technical requirements.

  • Develop and maintain automated and manual testing frameworks.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and DevOps to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Track software defects and coordinate bug triage meetings.

  • Oversee performance, regression, functional, and UAT testing activities.

  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to QA Engineers.

  • Create quality metrics and generate regular reports on QA status and test coverage.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 6+ years of software QA experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.

  • Strong experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Postman).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps.

  • Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work on a W2 basis (no C2C or third-party agencies).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in testing APIs and web services (REST/SOAP).

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

  • Familiarity with security testing concepts.
