About The Role The Manager of Human Resources (HR Business Partner) reports directly to the Corporate HR Director and plays a pivotal role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives within designated functional areas. This position requires an individual who can build impactful partnerships across the organization to deliver value-added HR services and support enterprise-wide initiatives. The role is primarily onsite, requiring presence four days a week at the Los Angeles office. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive employee experience through effective performance management, employee relations, and organizational development initiatives. Additionally, this role involves supporting leadership with organizational design, talent development, and change management efforts, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR or a related business function.
- Experience working with corporate populations, including executive teams.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment to resolve organizational issues.
- Demonstrated ability to remain positive and motivated in a dynamic, growing environment.
- Strong coaching skills with a history of building credibility and partnering with business leaders.
- Experience supporting remote teams and influencing at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with functional leaders to address performance issues and employee relations concerns.
- Conduct thorough, objective investigations related to employee conduct and workplace issues.
- Collaborate with Learning and Development teams to design and implement career mobility and performance training programs.
- Deliver engaging training sessions on various HR topics to employees and managers.
- Manage onboarding and off-boarding processes to ensure a seamless and positive employee experience.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of employment law to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance.
- Support leadership in organizational design and effectiveness initiatives.
- Assist in developing people strategies to enhance organizational performance and employee engagement.
- Act as a change agent to facilitate organizational growth and transformation.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, including Total Rewards, Talent Development, and HR Operations.
- Support and participate in corporate HR initiatives and projects.
- Coach managers on performance management and employee development goals.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop data-driven solutions and policies.
- Interpret reports to inform decision-making and proactive HR interventions.
- Lead or contribute to departmental and business projects aimed at fostering a culture of excellence.
- Collaborate across teams to promote a workplace culture that engages and inspires employees to achieve top business results.
