Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg/Telemetry – Pikeville, KY
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,730 (based on experience)
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (No Block Scheduling)
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join one of our trusted hospital partners in Pikeville, Kentucky. Job Description

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on Med/Surg and Telemetry units.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, promptly recognizing and responding to abnormalities.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Assess, document, and report changes in patients’ conditions using electronic charting systems.
  • Float throughout inpatient areas as needed; may be assigned aide-level tasks to support other units.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain infection control and safety standards throughout the care process.

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in Kentucky or Compact State – Required
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Required
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification – Required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification – Required
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry – Required
  • Level I or Level II Trauma experience – Required

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficient in cardiac monitoring and telemetry equipment
