About The Role The Business Analyst at Cardinal Health plays a vital role in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions. This position involves working closely with stakeholders to analyze, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications that drive system development and enhancements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive business process analyses, developing use cases, and facilitating communication between technical teams and business units. They will lead or support integration initiatives, ensure requirements are accurately captured, and contribute to the development of functional and technical documentation. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently within an Agile environment. The Business Analyst will also participate in testing phases, write user stories, and collaborate with QA teams to ensure solutions meet business expectations.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience in business analysis or related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Lucid Charts or similar diagramming tools
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com Sales and Service Cloud preferred
  • Experience with Managed Packages and External Vendors
  • Hands-on experience working within Agile methodologies utilizing Jira
  • Experience collaborating with offshore development teams
  • Strong documentation skills, including maintaining detailed user stories and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret customer needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Effective communication skills, capable of leading cross-functional meetings and providing clear reports
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and proactively communicate progress

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their priorities and align IT solutions accordingly
  • Conduct detailed business process analysis and document current workflows and systems
  • Create high-level and detailed requirements for new processes and systems, including use cases and user stories
  • Develop, review, and manage functional specifications, technical specifications, and test cases
  • Facilitate discussions around requirements, obtain stakeholder approval, and support their implementation
  • Lead or assist in integration initiatives, ensuring seamless system connectivity and data flow
  • Write acceptance criteria for user stories in collaboration with development and QA teams
  • Participate in functional and technical testing, including unit testing and user acceptance testing
  • Identify potential risks and propose logical, innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within scope
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and best practices for business analysis and project execution
