Job Description:

Position: Network Engineer – Consultant

Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid/3 days remote, 2 days in office)

Years of Exp: 10 Years

Contract Type: C2C

Duration: 12 Months

Candidates local to South Carolina are required

Key Skills:

5 years of experience with FIREWALLS IN AWS AND AZURE.

5 years of experience with PALO ALTO FIREWALLS

Responsibilities:

· Design and deploy secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on aws and azure.

· Automate and develop cloud security tools and accelerators.

· Support security operations with siem, soar, and xdr solutions.

· Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues across environments.

· Ensure compliance with frameworks like nist, hipaa, pci, sox, cmmc, etc.

· Implement zero trust security in cloud environments.

· Work with state and local government clients.

· Travel as needed for customer engagements.

Required Skills

· 5–10 yrs info security & engineering

· 5 yrs AWS/Azure infrastructure & firewall management

· Cloud security design, ops, and automation

· Security documentation & incident reporting

· AWS or Azure certification

· 5 yrs deploying/maintaining Palo Alto (VM series, firewalls)

Preferred Skills

· Prisma Cloud, Forescout, Cisco Umbrella

· F5 load balancing/firewall

· CISSP or SC-100 certification

· AWS/Microsoft Cloud Architect certs

· Prisma, PCNSA, or PCNSE certifications

Preferred Certifications : CISSP, SC100 – Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Solutions Architect, Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer, PCNSA, PCNSE
