Description Accounts Payable and Payroll Assistant Bookkeeper NHC HealthCare Sparta is looking for a AP/Payroll Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team!
Responsibilities Include

Code all invoices and ensure proper approval is received prior to payment.

Process payables weekly for check run.

Handle funds in patient trust account, including petty cash disbursements to patients and balancing patient trust at month end.

Communicating with vendors and employees

Accurate and timely preparation of month end books for submission to home office

Accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for 100+ employees.

Serve as benefit specialist for 100+employees.

Coordinate annual open enrollment of benefits for all new employees
Qualifications Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills and a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Well organized team player
