Marketplace Business Owner – FinTech
JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Marketplace Business Owner to lead and grow our partner marketplace. Our organization supports over 1,300 banks and credit unions , reaching approximately 30 million registered users through a comprehensive suite of digital-first banking solutions , including customizable platforms for both consumer and business banking with tools for money management, financial wellness, and card controls.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, product innovation, and ecosystem building. You’ll be responsible for curating the right mix of fintech partners, ensuring their success and visibility, and driving engagement and measurable outcomes across the platform.
Ideal candidates bring experience running a business or owning a product line—perhaps as a GM or senior product manager—and possess a strong grasp of business metrics, marketing, and cross-functional execution. This is a unique opportunity to shape how our organization shows up within the fintech ecosystem while building something that delivers meaningful value to customers and partners alike.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES

Drive the overall strategy, operations, and performance of the partner marketplace.

Ensure the marketplace delivers value to both the organization and its fintech partners.

Collaborate with product, marketing, partnerships, and sales teams to ensure partner offerings are well-integrated and well-positioned.

Monitor business metrics and marketplace performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth.

Act as a connector between internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless onboarding, activation, and ongoing success.

Stay informed on fintech trends, partner needs, and evolving market dynamics to continuously enhance the marketplace.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

5–8 years of experience in business ownership, product management, partnerships, or marketplace operations.

Proven ability to drive results in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Strong understanding of business metrics, marketing strategy, and product positioning.

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience delivering value and managing marketplace or partner ecosystem environments.

Experience working with fintechs or in a partnership-driven capacity is highly valuable.

Comfortable with ambiguity, energized by building, and motivated by meaningful impact.
PREFERRED DISTINCTIONS

Experience in fintech, SaaS, or platform-based businesses.

Background in launching or scaling marketplaces or partner ecosystems.
