Azure Cloud & Enterprise Data Architect (Microsoft Azure certification/Azure Solutions Architect Expert,Databricks)(Public Trust Clerance/Security Clerance)
Position Overview:
- The Azure Cloud and Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and implementation of cloud-based enterprise data solutions in support of FDIC’s Cloud Data Management and Analytics (CDMA) platform.
- This role ensures scalability, security, and operational excellence across hybrid cloud environments, with an emphasis on Azure-native data services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect enterprise-scale Azure cloud data solutions for structured and unstructured data
- Design and oversee implementation of secure data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and hybrid data environments
- Provide expert guidance on data governance, metadata management, data modeling, and data lifecycle strategy
- Collaborate with DevOps and Data Engineering teams to ensure CI/CD and cloud operations are fully integrated
- Lead solution design sessions, technical presentations, and architecture reviews with cross-functional teams
- Ensure full compliance with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and FDIC information security policies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years as a solution or enterprise architect
- 5+ years in technical roles such as developer, analyst, or systems engineer
- Microsoft Azure certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Data Lake Gen2, Synapse, Cosmos DB, Azure ML, Azure Key Vault
- Strong consultative and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL technologies
- Familiarity with AI/ML integration in cloud platforms
