Job Overview We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter specializing in national brand projects to join our dynamic team. National Brands include carwash, swim schools, hotel chains, and restaurants. The successful candidate will play a key role in the creation of architectural drawings, plans, and documentation for the development of national brand locations across multiple regions. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and national brand owners to ensure designs meet brand standards, functional requirements, and local building codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting & Design Support: Create detailed drawings-plans, elevations, and sections-based on concepts, surveys, and brand specs.
  • Brand Standards: Apply and maintain national brand design guidelines across all locations.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to meet design and technical requirements.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure designs meet local building codes, zoning laws, and regulations.
  • Site Evaluation: Review potential sites for design suitability and identify possible challenges.
  • Documentation: Prepare accurate construction drawings, revisions, and as-builts.
  • CAD Management: Use AutoCAD/Revit to produce and manage version-controlled design files and templates.
  • Quality Assurance: Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project standards.
  • Rollout Support: Provide drafting support for new brand locations, ensuring timely and consistent plan delivery.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, or related field. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 1-4 years of experience in architectural drafting, with a focus on national brand or commercial design projects preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). Experience with 3D modeling and rendering is a plus.
  • Knowledge of National brand Design: Familiarity with the specific requirements for national brand-based architecture, including understanding of brand standards and modular design principles.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local building codes, ADA requirements, and zoning laws.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to create accurate and thorough technical drawings while adhering to established standards.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges related to site constraints, construction methods, and building systems.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Experience in Commercial Architecture: Previous experience in commercial, retail, or restaurant architecture is highly desirable.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • National brand Knowledge: Familiarity with national brand business models, including multi-site development and standardization across locations.
