Requirements
Must have:
– I have 8 years of experience in scripting and infrastructure automation using tools such as PowerShell, Python, Go, or Ruby. – I possess a deep understanding of Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless computing implementation, and distributed systems design patterns. – I am knowledgeable about DevOps/SRE development methodologies. – I am proficient in Linux/Unix and CoreOS. – I have experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. – I have the ability to lead a scrum team and influence stakeholders effectively to maintain a product backlog and manage sprints. – I must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder, as this position requires on-call rotations and may necessitate working odd hours. – It is preferred that I have either an interim Secret clearance (or above) or have recently completed a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check to verify my criminal history, employment history, and financial/credit history.
Responsibilities:
- I will identify tasks and areas where automation can be utilized to enhance efficiency and minimize risks, developing software for deployment automation, packaging, and monitoring visibility. – I will work collaboratively with other Cloud Infrastructure Engineers and developers to assure optimal performance, reliability, and automation of our deployments and infrastructure. – I will participate in debugging and troubleshooting service bottlenecks across the software stack while providing advanced tier 2 and 3 support for NetApp’s Cloud Data Service solutions. – I will continuously monitor, analyze, and evaluate system health, availability, and latency using tools like Prometheus, Stackdriver, ElasticSearch, Grafana, and SolarWinds. – I will develop strategies to boost system and application performance, availability, and reliability, as well as oversee the deployment and orchestration of servers, docker containers, databases, and backend infrastructure. – I will address and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of complex live production incidents and cross-platform issues involving OS, Networking, and Database in cloud-based SaaS/IaaS environments, implementing SRE best practices for effective resolution. – I will document my acquired system knowledge, create runbooks, and ensure vital system information is easily accessible. – I will stay informed about security protocols and proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve intricate security issues. – I will utilize Atlassian tools alongside first-party cloud service management tools to track and resolve issues based on their priority, directly influencing solution implementation outcomes and monitoring system health.
