Requirements

Must have:

I am seeking a Principal Product Manager with a hands-on and technical background, capable of confidently demonstrating products to various stakeholders and testing them to offer pertinent feedback to engineering teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, allowing you to present intricate technical information clearly to diverse audiences. You should be adept at gathering, organizing, and analyzing customer and partner data to ascertain reasons behind product feature uptake, adoption, or lack thereof. It’s crucial that you can navigate ambiguity and transform abstract ideas into concrete concepts. I expect you to be an inspirational product leader, capable of motivating, inspiring, and energizing teams around a compelling product vision. You should have experience in building Software as a Service (SaaS) products or fully managed services from scratch and possess a solid understanding of public cloud storage services and data management fundamentals across major providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. A deep knowledge of how cloud marketplaces function and strategies for monetizing products is also necessary. Familiarity with modern compute paradigms such as Kubernetes, containers, and micro Virtual Machines (VMs) is advantageous. I would like to see a background of 10 to 12 years in software product management, preferably within infrastructure or systems software products. You should hold a 4-year BA/BS degree in computer science, data science, electrical engineering, or an equivalent technical field; an MBA would be beneficial but is not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

I will rely on you to drive the development of new offerings from initial concept through to launch, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams that include engineering, customer success, professional services, sales, and marketing. Part of your role will involve spearheading initiatives that incorporate new workloads into our first-party cloud storage portfolio and facilitating the migration of these workloads from on-premises environments and other cloud storage services.
