Job Description
In this role, you will:
- Design, influence, and execute transformation required for OpenShift adoption across the enterprise while ensuring alignment with architecture, security, and other key Technology frameworks.
- Evangelize opportunities, challenges, and security advantages of integrated OpenShift services.
- Develop and implement cloud-based procedures, continuous monitoring, compliance, and cloud asset inventory strategies.
- Proactively prioritize, analyze, and address complex problems and incidents to ensure the highest level of environment stability and availability.
- Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to define problems, proactively innovate, provide credible challenge, and translate vision into strategic solutions.
- Support complex technology Cloud initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
- Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature.
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk.
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively.
- Make decisions in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutions. Design, Optimization and Documentation of the Engineering aspects of the Cloud platform.
- Understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
- Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost.
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
- Work in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutions.
- Maintain system documentation and provide training and support to team members on OpenShift best practices.
Required Qualifications, International:
- 5 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 5 years of hands-on experience working with OpenShift and have a proven track record of building complex infrastructure programmatically through automation and scripting(bash, Python).
- 5 years of experience in building, deploying, securing, and managing OpenShift across various environments.
- 5 years of experience with Linux operating systems and container orchestration.
- 3 years of experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps concepts, including tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Tekton, Harness, ArgoCD.
- 3 years of experience with monitoring, logging, observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, AppD, New Relic, Elastic, Open Telemetry)
- Drive architectural discussions and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for high visibility cloud initiatives to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, cost effectiveness and high availability in the private cloud space.
- In depth, practical experience with Cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), automation, orchestration, trends, and industry-leading cloud vendor offerings.
- Experienced in implementing risk and control requirements for cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid infrastructure setups.
- Knowledge of networking, security, and storage concepts as they relate to containerized environments.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrix structure.
- Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with cloud security management or governance tools.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or similar certification.
- Knowledge of service mesh, load balancers, DDI technologies
