Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications on IBM Mainframe systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with COBOL , JCL , DB2 , and VSAM, along with solid problem-solving and analytical skills to support business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain COBOL , JCL , and DB2 programs.

  • Analyze, debug, and resolve production issues in mainframe applications.

  • Develop and execute unit tests , integration tests , and system tests to ensure software quality.

  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Maintain and optimize batch jobs , stored procedures , and utilities.

  • Support migration, modernization, and performance tuning activities.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, or related field.

  • 9 years of experience in mainframe application development.

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

  • COBOL

  • JCL

  • DB2

  • VSAM

  • CICS

  • Proficiency in analyzing, debugging , and optimizing mainframe code.

  • Experience with file handling , batch processing , and online transactions.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Endevor , Changeman).

  • Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
