Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for Medical Lab Technician for a W2 contract opportunity with one of our clients!

Job Title:Medical Lab Technician

Duration: 3-month contract

Role type: W2 contract engagement.

Location: Detroit, MI

Key Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively with others. Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions.

• Required Certification & Licensure- Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).

Job Description:

Duties:

Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems

Required skills and education:

• Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science, Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA)
• Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in this role or similar
• Experience with Beckman Coulter equipment (with AU system experience preferred).
• Candidates with Sunquest LIS experience and automation experience are preferred.

Additional information:

This is a 13-week contract, and the candidate will be working on the chemistry side of the lab.
