It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.Description of Work This Registered Nurse position is responsible to perform inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization, and medical detoxification for individuals with substance use and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnosis, for ongoing community-based treatment and recovery. The Registered Nurse develops nursing care plans based on diagnosis, identified patient problems, and independently carries out the nursing process. This position provides direct patient care such as monitoring physical status, vital signs, nurse triage assessments and monitoring patients for physical and psychological changes. They will administer medication and collaborate with the Treatment Team to access patient needs and responses to treatment.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesRecruitment Range: $58,898.00 – $88,348.00*A Sign-on bonus of $10,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs on site in Greenville, NC: (1) Woodside Treatment Center and (2) Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The primary purpose and mission of the Walter B. Jones Center is “To provide inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization and medical detoxification for individuals with mental health, substance use and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses for ongoing community based treatment and recovery”. The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and SAMHSA/CSAT. Two specialty programs are offered to all 100 NC Counties: (1) Inpatient Opioid Treatment for adults and (2) Inpatient Perinatal Services for women in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters with substance use disorders.Supplemental Contact Information:
