We’re seeking a Controls Programmer in Ventura, CA to program and support commercial building automation systems for high-efficiency facility operations.ImpactDeliver tailored BAS programming and integration for diverse commercial environmentsEnsure seamless system startup and commissioning to minimize delaysEnhance operational performance through precise controls logicReduce client service costs with well-tested, efficient installationsResponsibilities Program building automation systems (primarily Niagara/N4)Perform point-to-point checkout and functional testing of control systemsCreate and modify graphics, sequences, and user interfacesSupport commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting for new and retrofit systemsIntegrate diverse systems (HVAC, lighting, security) into unified BAS platformsCollaborate with field techs and engineers to resolve integration issuesMaintain documentation, drawings, and version control for programsEnsure code meets safety, quality, and client specificationsRequirements

Must-Haves 5 years in building automation controls (commercial projects)N4 certification (Niagara 4)Proficient in BAS programming, graphics, and integrationExperience in startup, commissioning, and field-level troubleshootingLocal to Santa Maria area with stable work historyNice-to-Haves Experience with multiple BAS platforms (Tridium, Distech, Siemens, etc.)Background in HVAC/mechanical systemsFamiliarity with installation and service tasksStrong documentation and organizational skillsCompensation & Logistics
