PAS Specialist
Job Description: Description · This position will provide both administrative and clinical support to the DME/Orthotics/Prosthetics team services all OHSU locations and affiliates. Administrative duties include customer service to patients and clinics seeking DMEPOS. Specific duties include referral evaluation and intake, data collection & entry, benefit verification/authorization, scheduling, and documenting in chart. Clinical support will include eval and fit of DMEPOS, inventory management, staff education and clinical documentation.· Referral triage/intake — data entry, documentation verification and collection, benefit verification/authorization· Patient/Referral Source communication — eval/set up/fit scheduling, financial responsibility discussion and collection, referral status updates.· Customer service and financial inquiries· Work in progress queue for follow up, clarification & processing new and repeat orders.· Support Stock & Bill accounts — resupply, education.· Support evaluation and delivery of supplies, bracing, respiratory, home health, ambulatory and inpatient orthotics.Requirements REQUIREMENTS · High School or GED· DMEPOS clinical experience (3 years minimum)· DMEPOS knowledge (orthopedic, respiratory, home health, ambulatory)· Insurance billing, HCPC/ICD10 coding experience (minimum 3 years).· CMS/LCD competency· 50 WPM data entry· Basic computer competency
