Description:

Role : Technical Project Manager – Cybersecurity

Type: 6-month contract with strong potential for full-time conversion

Location: Hybrid in Providence, RI Preferred – Open to Remote

Overview:

The Cybersecurity TPM will help drive and coordinate a software cloud migration across 52 data centers and over 6,000 systems. Serve as the lead communicator and manager for cross-functional teams including InfoSec, NetOps, site staff, and engineers.

Candidate Profile :

  • 10 years of project management experience at a mid-to-senior level
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Self-starter capable of independently driving projects
  • Cybersecurity background preferred
  • Providence, RI area location is a strong plus (hybrid work model)

Project Scope :

  • Initial project involves migrating software to a cloud-based security console
  • Requires sprint-based execution with strict adherence to change windows and formal RFC processes
  • Future projects will involve similar cybersecurity initiatives

Core Responsibilities :

  • Facilitate meetings and manage timelines
  • Track progress and ensure deliverables
  • Provide regular updates to CISO and CIO
  • Create clear, self-service documentation using tools like MS Project and Excel

Required Skills :

  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Incident management under pressure
  • Adaptability in dynamic environments

Preferred Skills :

  • Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP)
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, FedRAMP)
  • PMP certification is a plus but not required
