Property Accountant – Yardi

Job Description Property Accountant – Yardi – Downtown, ChicagoOur client has an immediate need for a Property Accountant with Yardi software experience.Responsibilities include:
Preparing monthly financial statements on cash or accrual method of accounting in accordance with GAAP.
Respond to financial reporting requirement of investors.
Analyze financial statements and report on budget variances and other abnormalities.
Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, insurance, taxes, etc.
Maintain and review general ledger account balances to ensure accuracy of postings.
Work with Auditor on year end audit.Qualifications:
BS in Accounting or related Degree and at least three years of experience in a progressively responsible accounting and financial reporting role.
Above average level of proficiency with Microsoft office suite and a demonstrated track record of employing technology solutions to improve and streamline processes.
Yardi software experience preferred.
Ability to work well with all levels of employees.Details Location
