Description: Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager.

Job Type: Contract

Remote/Hybrid/In-Office: 4 days on-site

Pay- $60-65/hr (negotiable based on experience)

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading, overseeing, and ensuring the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects. This role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Project Manager will coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors, define project objectives, and manage quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, this role supports the I.T. Project Office in maintaining methodology standards and documentation compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and communication strategies.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and promote accountability.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes using formal processes.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and share lessons learned.
  • Ensure alignment with strategic business goals and compliance standards.
  • Maintain project documentation in the Document Management System (DMS).

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of direct project management experience.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Project Online).
  • Experience with IT projects including application development and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with procurement, contracting, and budgeting processes.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting demands.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of the electric utility industry is a plus.

Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7 years of progressive experience in IT, programming, or technical leadership.
  • Experience with project portfolio management and strategic alignment.
  • Familiarity with compliance documentation and IT governance processes.
