• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Give treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
• Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
• Answer signal lights promptly.
• Change bed linens, make beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly
• Works as a member of the team.
• Gets along well with co-workers.
• Accepts change in a positive manner.

• Registration with TX HHS CMA registry required.
• Successful completion from a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program. Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
• Successful completion of State approved Medicine Aide Course.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
