My client operates a growing network of high-performance data centres designed for large-scale AI workloads. Their facilities are GPU-optimised, liquid-cooled, and built for secure, energy-efficient computing.
They are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to establish and manage the company’s global supply chain for data-centre infrastructure, including GPUs, servers, networking hardware, and supporting systems. The role will involve negotiating with vendors, setting up procurement frameworks, and ensuring cost-effective, timely delivery of critical technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for data-centre infrastructure and high-performance computing hardware.
- Negotiate with vendors, OEMs, and suppliers to secure optimal pricing, terms, and service levels.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships across hardware, cooling, and construction categories.
- Establish procurement processes, contract templates, and reporting structures to support company growth.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to forecast requirements and manage budgets.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, ESG standards, and internal procurement policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement or supply-chain management within data centres, IT infrastructure, or high-performance computing.
- Strong commercial negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Technical understanding of GPUs, servers, and data-centre systems.
- Experience setting up procurement structures and processes in a fast-growing or international environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Degree in business, supply-chain management, or a related field preferred.
