We’re looking for a hands-on Controller with experience in construction accounting to manage day-to-day financial operations, support the CFO, and lead a small team. This individual will be instrumental in maintaining accuracy in job costing and billing while ensuring compliance and financial clarity across multiple projects.Key Responsibilities:
● Lead general accounting, job costing, and billing functions
● Collaborate with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
● Manage month-end close and financial statement preparation
● Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions
● Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory requirements
● Liaise with project managers and operations for financial tracking
● Implement and optimize use of financial and construction softwareQualifications:
● 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry
● Proficiency in Foundation Software, Sage 300/Timberline, or similar
● Familiarity with Procore or equivalent project management software
● Strong job costing and AI billing experience
● Sales tax compliance experience is a plus
● Excellent leadership and communication skills
